Inspiration Is Everywhere — When You Break Routine

A 3-Week Creative Rebellion to Start Uncovering the Real Story

Inspiration Is Everywhere

This 3-week creative writing class is the first of many designed to help you disrupt routine and reconnect with what your voice truly sounds like.

In most of my classes — and in my upcoming podcast, REBELLIOUS. Art, Culture, Human — Cat Yezbak and I will take a deep dive into the conditioning we’ve all experienced, from birth to present day. That conditioning doesn’t just shape how we live. It shapes how we create, how we see the world, and how we exist. When we create, in this case writing, we’re often writing from that conditioned place — not from our raw truth.

We’ve learned to censor ourselves before words even hit the page.

We follow rules we never agreed to.

We live by routines that were designed to keep us in line.

And then we wonder why we feel stuck, blocked, exhausted, uninspired.

Living life like we don’t even have dreams anymore.

But here’s the truth: Your best stories come from you —

The you you’ve been sitting on, the you you may not even fully know yet.

To write from that real, honest place,

you first have to uncover who you are underneath it all.

That’s where we begin.

3-week creative writing experience built to help you shake loose — through small, intentional acts that shift how you move through the world.

Each week, you’ll take one small action that interrupts your routine.

You’ll feel what it brings up.

And you’ll write from that — not from your brain, but from your body, your instinct, & your truth.

This is where creativity lives.

This is where rebellion starts.

How It Works:

Before Class Each Week:

You’ll complete a small real-world action — something simple but slightly out of the ordinary. You’ll then write about it and get ready to share and work on it in class.

Examples include:

  • Go out to dinner by yourself

  • Wear something bold and walk through the world in it

  • Take a walk without your phone — no destination, no distraction

  • Talk to a stranger

  • Break a quiet rule you’ve lived by your whole life

  • Go for a drink alone

  • Call someone you haven’t spoken to in years — just to say hi.

  • Dance- FULLY outside or in your home without any inhibitions.

  • See a show or an exhibition alone.

Then you’ll write a short piece (250 words or less) from that experience — a story, a monologue, a reflection, a voice.

In Class (2 - 2 1/2 depending on class size- Hours on Zoom):

  1. We Check-In.
What did you do this week? How did it feel? What surprised you?

  2. We Learn Something Real.
I’ll guide you through one powerful writing tool each week —how to start in the middle of a moment, how to build emotional tension, how to unlock voice — all grounded in your lived experience.

  3. We Write Together.
You’ll receive a fresh prompt and write something new in real-time, straight from your body, memory, and movement.

  4. We Share.
You’ll have the chance to read aloud and receive thoughtful feedback from me — not just on the writing, but on what it reveals.

And You’ll Have Support Along the Way

You’ll be added to a private WhatsApp group where we’ll stay connected throughout the week —

sharing wins, fears, ideas, encouragement, and accountability.

If you’re nervous about going to dinner alone? Someone else probably is too. That’s where the support lives. That’s where the magic starts.

You’ll Leave With:

  • Three small but meaningful life “rebellions,” turned into a written story

  • A deeper sense of who you are by putting yourself in unfamiliar spaces

  • A clearer creative voice — and tools to keep writing from it

  • A new way of seeing the world around you as rich with story

  • The beginning of a deeper journey into what you were taught… and what you’re ready to unlearn
